Taming of the shroud. Which characters are more reflective of the New Elizabethan?

Catherine is extremely abrasive in her dealings with everyone, both in Parliament and her personal life. Her sister Bianca couldn't be more different -- a popular model whom everyone loves. Bianca's long-time manager wants to marry her; in order to put him off she says she won't marry until her sister is wed (a prospect she knows will keep her safe.) So her manager arranges his friend -- who is a titled Earl -- to meet and marry Kate and the battle is on

Directed by divide Richards. Inspired by William Shakespeare play and played by Shirley Henderson.

1.Catherine also known as Cate: reminds me of Queen Elizabeth. I say this because of the fact that she is a woman in a man’s world; Also the fact that everyone want’s to marry her off in order for her to make it as a prime minister. Her dressing also kind of refracts Elizabeth mostly because of the colour (black) and the fact that her cloths represent power yet showing a little cleavage.

2.Bianca Catherine sister: she reminds me of Elizabeth in that she loves her self. In her apartment there is lots of pictures of her everywhere, something Queen Elizabeth did, (she kept portraits of herself and she also had to approve of any portraits painted of her). Also Bianca is the idea of beauty in this film/play. Just like Elizabeth her beauty is what people see as beautiful. Her fashion is very classy and what one would expect rich women to wear. Everything from the white far all the way to the royal blue colour in her bathroom represents a contemporary Elizabethan woman.

3.Mrs Manola, Catherine’s mum: her fashion is very wealthy, everything from the silk dresses she wears to the purls. This is something a lot of wealthy women would wear. This makes her a good representation of a modern Elizabethan.
