for todays session we did an Elizabethan makeup look
.

To start with i prepped my models face by cleansing and moisturising her face. for this look we only used three products, the Illamasqua skin base foundation, the pink cheek colour from the kryolan blusher palette and the loss face powder.
application.
I first started by applying the skin base foundation which is white in colour. this gave the skin a white elizabethan look. i followed by applying powder on the face to set the foundation in place. pink cheek colour was used on the cheeks and a little on the lips to give a rosy cheek look and a stained red lip look that the elizabethan women had.
The overall look was a good representation is an elizabethan look. However i should have applied the foundation further down her neck and into the ears to stop it looking as if she is wearing a mask. I also should have asked my model to take off het nose ring to avoid giving the look and modern fill to it
The same look done on me.
we also did the same look on me, this time i was the model and my model was my makeup artist.
we used the exact same product on her for my skin. this is because the elizabethan women used white past for there skin.
and here is the look.

against black skin this elizabethan look, looks very odd. if anything i look grey instead of white and that is to do with the warmth's of my skin complexion. The cheek colour can be seen very clearly and also my lips colour is more visible. overall i think the look is a good representation of an elizabethan look. However next time we will apply the foundation down my neck.
