British designer
Gareth Pugh's opening outfit paid homage to Elizabethan dress, featuring a latex
ruff collar a top and a dress with latex ruffled underskirts – it was clear that
Pugh was staying true to form.
About the makeup
-The makeup has been
kept very simple. Just like the Elizabethan era, the eye brow has been taken off
and the cheeks kept rosy, as well as the lips. This is a clear interpretation of
a contemporary Elizabethan look. The clothing, especially the neck piece, is Elizabethan
inspired.

About the image.
This image is an
alexander McQueen tribute. May 2010 by Tyra banks. Paying tribute to the legendary fashion
designer Alexander McQueen, 36-year-old America’s Next Top Model host Tyra Banks pays her respects by creating a shoot
inspired by McQueen‘s latest designs with a guest appearance by American Vogue editor-at-large
Andre Leon Talley.
A Quote from Tyra: “I wanted to do a photo shoot decked out in
H2T McQueen. McQueen was considered royalty in the fashion community. I feel
like a queen whenever I wear his clothes (especially the stunning blue dress I
wore for this shoot)! I would like to think that he would have loved these
photos.”

About the makeup
-Beyoncé in an O2 mobile phone company advert. There is a lot
of Elizabethan reference in this image, everything from the hair been height
and textured which was a grate fashion in the Elizabethan era. The makeup worn
by Beyoncé for this advert is contemporary as it has a lot of natural beauty
within it, however the red lips and the natural looking pink cheeks
represent the Elizabethan era.
